#7 C, D, E, F, G

Welcome to the seventh section of the course! In this lesson, we will do a simple exercise to familiarize ourselves with the keys of the piano.

The exercise involves playing the notes C, D, E, F, and G sequentially on the piano. Let's start with the note C, which is located to the left of the two black keys. Then we move on to the note D, then E, F, and G. Just go up and down to get a feel for the instrument. Start slowly, make sure to have proper body posture and hand position. While we press the note E with finger 3 for example, we want to make sure that all the other fingers aren’t pressing the keys at all. Also not a tiny bit.  Of course this applies not only to finger 3, but to all fingers. We don’t care about the speed, we just focus on the technique.

This simple exercise lays the foundation for understanding the piano keyboard. It allows us to quickly recognize individual notes and navigate the piano with ease. Actually, there are more things you learn in this exercise, which you will understand later on.

In the following lessons, we will expand the scale and learn more tones. Mastering this basic exercise is essential before delving into more complex lessons.

So, before jumping into the next lesson, I would like you to practice this exercise first! I will see you in the next lesson!
