#1 Introduction Video
Welcome to the Introduction Video! My name is Gino, and in just 5 years, I managed to go from level 0 to a semi-professional level, now mastering challenging pieces like Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu. For several years, I've been successfully teaching in the local music scene. Drawing from over 5000 hours of invested time, my goal is to help you achieve the same level and save as much time as possible.
In this course, we won't be relying on traditional sheet music or playing by ear. Instead, we'll focus on the fundamental mechanics and skills of playing the piano - all without the tedium of reading traditional notation. We'll discuss theoretical concepts in an engaging way, but the emphasis will always be on practical application. Surely you could still learn how to read sheet music and still learn a lot of things in this course, as 99% of the content is relying on fundamental skills, which you would have to learn one day anyways.
It's important to mention that no Synthesia videos will be needed in the lessons. Instead, I will only explain how to use Synthesia to learn a piece in one specific lesson towards the end of the course.
This course is designed for absolute beginners with zero hours of playtime up to advanced pianists who can already play some of Chopin's waltzes. A quick note: This course alone won't turn you into a pro; it will require time and practice. However, I can guarantee that it will prepare you for any piece, whether it's Liszt's La Campanella or Rush E. The techniques and skills we'll cover here can be found in every piece of music around the world, just presented in different ways. The beauty is that once we master a particular technique, it becomes easier to apply it in various musical contexts.
I'm excited to accompany you on this thrilling musical journey. Let's explore the world of piano playing together and discover the joy within it. Let's dive in now and unlock the magic of the piano!
